After the Rain
A John and Marlena Alternate Reality

After the Rain..... is a story that takes place soon after Roman Brady returned from the dead yet one more time, with Kristen and Stefano Dimera's help. In a romantic gesture initiated by John, our couple decided to marry on New Year's Eve. Unfortunately, Roman learned of their plans and arrived at the secluded cabin in the woods where John and Marlena were beginning their new life together. Angry and hurt, Roman fled the scene and then waited at the Penthouse for their return. When they arrived, Roman confronted them, and in a drunken rage, he attacked and brutally injured John, who played the hero, forcing Marlena out the door so she would not be harmed by her former husband's irrational and violent behavior.
There are storm clouds rolling in and a depth of darkness for which they are unprepared, but John and Marlena will learn a lesson about how even the worst of circumstances can serve to make love grow ever deeper, ever stronger.
